Does your mother know?

What a great name for this original gay bar.

Outside the changing coloured lights shine up the walls beckoning the visitor like landing lights on a runway up Poole Hill. Their shine and colour is nothing compared to the colour inside!Does your mother know in the Triangle Bournemouth

The outside looks good (especially at night) inside you can see they have invested and spent money making this one of Bournemouths premier gay venues.

The music is loud and fun, making it a great place to dance the night away. A good mix of people; the whole spectrum LGBT through to straight. This is a bar with a difference, attracting all ages, with ‘wine club’ days, Karaoke, bingo and a Sunday cabaret.

A well kept secret, Does Your Mother Know also has a lovely courtyard for the smokers amongst you, or just to chill in. There is something happening every day of the week, so check out their website to see whats on.

Naomi Holmes said, “It’s fast becoming one of my favorites. The music is brilliant because they usually play well known songs that everyone can have a lot of fun dancing too. There are places you can sit and chat with friends and there’s a good outdoor area too…

There is a drag-queen DJ that I’ve seen there on some Friday nights and she is absolutely brillient; so funny! I really enjoy DYMK. It has a nice atmosphere and is a nice place to go for either a quick drink, or a good fun night out”

DYMK is open 7 days a week

We would have to agree with this, we think this is one of not only the Triangle’s, but Bournemouths - top gay bars.

“A great night out is pre-drinks in flirt; a meal and then dancing the night away at Does Your Mother Know. A fantastic night out for all!”

 The Xchange

Long established venue with even a pole fitted on the dance floor in the very heart of The Triangle! Some very good late night, live entertainment.

We also liked their very original costumes and routine, bar tendering in steward uniforms during the Bournemouth Air Show.Open to the small hours in the night.
